Well the latest and hottest craze that is still going on is the Corner To Corner or C2C stitch. Well, I decided I wanted to try it and see how it goes. I must say I have found a new stitch that I just love! To me it’s sort of like doing the Granny Square but sideways. Any who, I printed up the Pattern from Red Heart and gathered up my supplies. I decided to get some pretty Christmas colors in Red, Green, White, and a really nice variegated. Then the hard part of the whole thing was to decide how the color pattern was going to go. So I started with the variegated and went with it.

Now this does take some time, especially when you are going row by row and increasing each row. But once you get to the center, the rest just flies by in no time. I didn’t do the whole 90 rows that the pattern called for but instead did about 87 or so rows.

When all was said and done and I got a nice border of each color going round the afghan measures approximately 5 foot square. I ended up using 1 huge skein and a quarter of another in each color. So that is about 5 of those huge skeins of yarn for the whole project.

However, this is going to make a great gift for Christmas for a special person. I did however have some help while I was working on it.

I think it’s got Trixie’s seal of approval. What did I do with the left over yarn? I made a C2C scarf of course!
