Wal-Mart Knock Off Of The BeDazzler

Last week I decided I wanted to make a headband for myself for when hubby and I go riding on the Harley.  I see the gals wearing these beautiful headbands that I know they bought which the cost is anywhere from $30-$40 each.

So, I told myself, “Self, you can make one for a fraction of the cost.  Maybe even make a few extra too.”  So when we went to Wal-Mart, I found they had the knock off version of the BeDazzler.  Cool!  Half the price too!  So I bought one.

I came home and a day or two later (was busy that weekend) I got all my stuff gathered and started to work.  Immediately, the one plunger that you set inside the machine broke.  The next day I took it back to Wal-Mart.  Got my refund (guess the gal didn’t want to do an even exchange) and got another.  Came home and took it out of the box.  The handle wouldn’t even move!  Seriously?  I then decided what I was going to do from there.

I got the kids back in tow (yeah taking three of them to the store is a trip), and returned it.  Headed out to Hobby Lobby with my 40% off coupon in hand, and bought the Mini BeDazzler.

So take this as a word of warning.  You get what you pay for.  If you are going to get a knock off brand of the BeDazzler, save yourself the time and check with Hobby Lobby, Michaels, etc for a coupon and get yourself one of the real things.  The knock off from Wal-Mart is nothing but a pile of garbage.

Side Note:  When this was wrote I did check the Wal-Mart website to find the name and image of it, but unfortunately, it was not even listed.  So this must be an in store item only.
