Messy bun hats are all the rage right now.  I had a lady get a hold of me right before Christmas asking me if I could make some for her.  I told her yes but I can’t promise they would be done before as I was still working on the Zombie Hats.  She said that was fine and no problem.

I didn’t have a pattern but had a general idea.  The first one I did I winged it.  Didn’t come out bad but a bit long, but that’s ok, sometimes you want a longer hat.

I then found a pattern and then did my own twist to it as it appears most of the patterns then everyone has a small head.

(Maddy ran off with the hat after I took this picture.)

I was ready to begin the hats.  However, I did yet another twist to it at the top.  She only needed four hats but I made five as they were the ones per her request.  She was very pleased with all of them and all of them where a bit different somehow.

While putting away my left over yarn stash I came across some yarn I had purchased thinking of making something out of but what I don’t know.  Was a finer type of yarn and variegated.  So I took my own personal challenge and I made one for me yet again different.  I am very pleased with the way it turned out.
