Cabbage Patch Hat

A good friend of mine, who just adores my work, contacted me one day and asked me if I could make her a Cabbage Patch Hat like I did for Boo but in adult size. She stated to me it was for a dear family member who is going through chemo and had recently lost her hair. Well, I decided to accept the challenge. So I was to take this, which is child size:

and turn it into an adult size hat. So after some time had went by I finally figured out the best way to tackle it. The following is what I had come up with.

So now it was time to trim the ends and give it a bit of a touch up. The following is the finished result:

Her and her family was simply shocked at how it came out. They couldn’t even begin to imagine how I did it. The time came to give it as the gift it was meant to be and she was so excited. She loves it! Best wishes to her and her family!
