Layken’s Stocking

I had a lady contact me after Thanksgiving to see if I could fix her daughter’s stocking.  The name on the stocking was spelled wrong and she’s had it since her little girl’s first Christmas.  Told her to let me look at it and then see what I could do.

Here is the stocking when she brought it to me:

So with seam ripper in hand I began.  Got it all ripped out trying so hard to be as gentle as possible.

Once all ripped out the stitch work began.  Now I know I didn’t have the exact font and I told her so we agreed anything was better as long as it was spelled correctly.  Stitching began and the name was right.

However, the font we did just didn’t seem to be the right one.  So I ended up ripping it all out and I decided to try something else.  With that came success.  She couldn’t have been more happier.  It wasn’t a stocking that she used but it’s something that Layken will have if she ever decides to use it.
