My daughter came up to me one day and asked me if I could get her a pair of cheer leading earrings like the other girls have.  Well I was a bit stumped and when you have six people in the house money can be kind of tight at times.  So I told her I would check and see what I could do.

So after a bit of searching I quickly realized that the earrings she wanted was a bit more than I could spend on them.  Not to mention she is a bit of a tom boy and really don’t wear earrings that much.  So when she asked again I told her I don’t think I could get them.  Poor thing was heart broken and broke my heart she was disappointed.

So I started to search to see if I could even find the charms as if I could find them I may be able to make her a pair.  After a bit of searching I found them at Hobby Lobby.  Game on.  So a few days later I went to Hobby Lobby with 40% off coupon on my phone and when I got there I was in bit of surprise.  They were on sale for  50%.  Awesome!  But then I looked at the charms and quickly my heart sank a little.  Nothing with the charms, but there was the loops on them so they could be charms.  Now what am I supposed to do?  Then it hit me.  I can  make this work.

I bought the charms and brought them home.  Got into my bag of beads and looked for 2 blue and 2 white (or even clear as that would work).  I then assembled them all together.  Go me!  I let them sit and dry and when baby girl got home she was excited.  Not only did she have cheer earrings now but her mama made hers.

So, not only was she tickled about getting them and excited to wear them but everyone, girls, coaches, and other moms, thought that was really cool and special.
